On November 15 and 16, 2024, we invite believers to the Pastoral Center in Prague-Dejvice for the VI. annual Conference on Evangelization. The two-day program will offer many interesting guests, prayers, inspiration, and an opportunity to share experiences in the field of evangelization. The motto of this year's conference is: “Do not be lazy in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.” (Romans 12:11). The event is organized by the Community of Beatitude and the Credo Foundation under the auspices of the Czech Bishops' Conference.
The main speaker will be the Polish evangelist Marcin Zieliński, known for his charismatic personality and passion for evangelization. He will share how to boldly and joyfully proclaim the gospel while maintaining enthusiasm and avoiding burnout. In addition to him, other distinguished guests will also speak at the conference. The Friday program will kick off with a round table titled “Go and Proclaim.” Veronika Filipová, leader of the Alpha course in the Czech Republic, Veronika Lišková from the Credo Foundation, Fr. Vojtěch Koukal from the Community of Beatitude, Franciscan Fr. Jakub Sadílek, and Slovak leader Pavol Strežo will share their experiences with evangelization.
There will also be ten workshops during the conference that will provide practical tools for evangelization. Klára Němcová will present evangelization on social media, Fr. Jakub Sadílek will discuss Franciscan missions, Pavol Strežo will speak about reconciliation, and Charis leader Pavla Petrášková will offer insights on how each of us can bear witness to our faith. Fr. Vojtěch Koukal and Fr. Kamil Obr will focus on the importance of living communities for the renewal of the church, and Rosťa Šerý will delve into the ministry of young people.
The entire program will be accompanied by praise prayer led by the Gedeon worship band. Holy Masses will be celebrated by Bishop Mons. Tomáš Holub of Plzeň and Archbishop Mons. Jan Graubner of Prague. At the end of the conference, not only participants of the event are invited but also the general public to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows at Jungmann Square, where a prayer evening “Bridges of Faith” will take place with a blessing for the nation.
